Headaches are an irritating problem that affects most individuals at least a few times in their life. While most headaches are usually simply irritating, on occasion they can become much more frequent and problematic. If low blood sugars are the primary reason as to why you experience headaches, then the solution to preventing or alleviating them often involves addressing hypoglycemia. The best way to raise your glucose is to eat anywhere between 15-20 grams of sugars or simple carbohydrates. However, after doing this you must also check your blood-sugar levels 10-15 minutes afterward to ensure that they have returned to normal levels. Keep in mind also that exercise and medication can cause your glucose to drop either suddenly or steadily over a period of time, possibly triggering a hypoglycemic episode.
